We left home on March 22, and spent the night in El Centro, CA.
We had a pretty river view from our RV window..
We arrived in Gila Bend, AZ on March 23 and met another couple from our group. There will be only 3 RVs caravanning to Tombstone. We enjoyed Happy Hour outdoors until the wind got too cold, but It was a beautiful day.
There is no place to stop for food and gas from Yuma to Gila Bend on Hwy 8!
24 March: Three of us caravanned from Gila Bend to Tombstone. After setting up we went into Tombstone for lunch at Big Nose Kates and window shopped in the historic town. It was a beautiful day.
25 March: We toured around the copper mining town ofBisbee, and the historic town of Douglas. A local gentleman showed us a good Mexican restaurant for lunch. The police station in Douglas is an old RR station. There are a lot of interesting old buildings.

March 26-29: We have been touring all around this area in Southern Arizona. We didn't know there was so much to see here. We've been to Tubac, an art colony and the first European settlement in AZ and the site of a beautiful mission; Tumacacori, the Whipple Observatory; a winery tour; Patagonia with unique restaurants and stores; the Titan Missile Museum; The Nature Conserancy Ramsey Canyon Preserveand, and more more. We've had beautiful days, cold nights and some heavy cold wind.
